And so Muharram has set in, and it is now a new Islamic year, and tomorrow comes another new year; 2009.

2008 was a fairly average year with a few significant events, but the thing with us is, it tends to difficult to remember the blessings and it's just easier to remember the significant downfalls.
But to remind myself in years to come of what 2008 has been for me, I'll list down as much as I can.

Winning the ASc Captain Ball (or is it captain's ball?) as champions! =D
Fatin's birthday surprise
Matin being hospitalised for excessive vomitting
The rose surprise in February :)
Malacca trip with family which I did not enjoy due to gastric flu
Sweetheart's ultimate birthday plan (how can i ever forget that?)
Working as a cashier at NTUC. Which actually made me happy, working with aunties and nyonyas. Haha.
When the boyfriend had to be in crutches for a few weeks due to a fractured ankle
Treating nenek for dinner with the family
Ibu and Ayah going to Bangkok and not being in Singapore on my birthday
Liy and Fatin gave me a birthday surprise with a raspberry cheesecake which Fatin baked and then surprising me at Giraffe with that molten lava dessert thingy and the CnK sandals. :)))
Him giving me the best gifts ever. (he remembered that i liked items from Prints. he actually remembered those subtle hints!)
Him getting his Konica Minolta.
Having the first day of attachment on our 48th. -_-
Ice skating for the very first time and then falling on ice and getting a big rip on my tunic. (HIGHLY EMBARRASSING)
Getting to know Debbie and realizing that she's not the brat I thought she was. (ahhh. the wonders of friendship)
Working my first 12-hour night shift in the lab.
Getting the driving licence (all my hard earned money)
Getting traumatised by Tomok and all the gatal men at CGH. -_-
Ayah being hospitalized for his heart condition
Seeing the national day fireworks together with the boy and his un-immediate family
Catching the Gala Premiere of 4BIA together with the cast of the movie and the boy at Vivo
Spending nearly the entire Ramadan breaking fast in 168
Embarassing break-fast dinner at Mr Teh Tarik with Debbie, Liy and Fatin
M.A.C. makeover!
Raya-ing with his friends
Testing semen sample which was very, very traumatizing
Ending attachment and rushing through the assignments
Dinner treat for the family+boyfriend (minus Qisti)
The near-accident fright while driving in town
Walking aimlessly from CTM to Esplanade with Fatin and Liy
Not visting Orchard, even once, to see the Christmas light-up. Haha

Shit. My memory is so super short-termed. =( Oh well.

The future seems so promising, yet so scary. I can vision myself doing this and that, but at the end of it all is just one big question mark and a heavy fog.

I pray to be a better person, in at least one way, if not many.
